Thanks to a lot of hard work by Lee D and others, we have some syllabus packs available for Junior and Senior members of Shenley.
So what's in it?
The packs contain the usual syllabus that we have in the club but also includes illustrations for most techniques - usually two or three pictures each. This makes it easier to remember techniques either on or off the mat. There are even pictures for a few non-syllabus techniques.
More!
There's also the dojo rules and common Japanese terms. It's all printed on decent photo paper and comes in a sturdy folder.
Just whip this out when doing syllabus and be the envy of other students!
Even more!
As if all that wasn't enough, also included is a DVD video showing all the techniques from White belt through to Green as demonstrated by the Senseis. We're hoping to add a second DVD for Blue to Black once we get it filmed. Anyone who has already bought the pack will get a complementary copy.
So how much?
Ah, you had to ask. Amazingly it's only £15.
So when can I get it?
I'll have some to take a look at or buy at the next session after Easter. Lee has been sporting a prototype version for a while now so you may have seen a lot of it already.
Ah, but what about adding...
If there are other things you think should be included, post a comment below - we can always add new pages to the packs if someone has a good idea.

Great job guys
I really happy to so see that Shenley is really moving on and going places. A massive thank you from me to everyone involved in this process.
I know we had mumbled about doing something similar to this, but nothing on this scale. I cant thank Lee D enough for all the hard work that must have gone into creating this pack.
I hope that all the students at Shenley will thank him when they see him. As I am sure that this will benefit students for years and years to come.
Lee sensei,
(lee A)
How about kata?
Just thought of this one myself - a page showing photos of kata moves? I have some of Lee A doing this, or we could redo them ourselves. Always handy if they slip your mind during a session.
Could be open-hand as well as jo and bo?
Re-doing the poor quality weapons DVD might be a better bet - turn it into a kata DVD and add the novice, 1st Dan, 2nd Dan and 3rd Dan katas?
