We had a good turn out for the course and competition on Sunday, with several students taking part in multiple events including random attack, kata, continuous fighting and ground fighting.
The course was taught by several very high grades from the UK and abroad including two 10th Dans.
After the three hour course and a break for lunch the competition began. Our students (and senseis) did their best and often won the first round or two, but ended up being put out by a better opponent. The rounds were very close and the three judges had a hard time deciding on a winner and the result was usually split 2:1 rather than a clear 3:0 winner.
Well done to all who took part and hopefully with a bit more training we can win through next time!
