Groundfighting and sparring results
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the competition at Leighton Buzzard on Saturday. There were students from both Leighton and Shenley there as well as parents and senseis - including a surprise visit by Shihan Player - 8th Dan.
We were able to have everyone fight everyone else in each of the three categories and saw some excellent use of technique, skill and determination.

3rd - Mark

2nd - Liam
Under 10 sparring
1st - James - by default
Special mention must go to Robyn and Josh in the groundfighting who demonstrated some exceptional ground work, and especially to Mason who fought hard despite giving away a lot of weight (and height) to all of his opponents. Luke also did very well against much older opponents and came out smiling. All the senseis were very proud of the way the students demonstrated the techniques they've been taught over the past few weeks.
Thanks also to Ryan and Lee for organising the event - we hope to do it all again at Shenley in a few months and attract even more entrants.
